The essence of Italy

Lake Garda, or Benaco, is the largest in Italy. To the south it is surrounded by the morainic hills left behind following the retreat of the glaciers, while the narrower, higher northern side is framed by the mountain chains that give it the shape of a fiord and protect the area by rendering the climate mild and Mediterranean-like.

This is undoubtedly one of the most attractive Italian lakes, with its bright environment, mild climate, flourishing vegetation (mainly olive, palm, cypress, lemon, oleander and orange trees), as well as the grand landscapes that surround the remarkable historic and cultural sites scattered around the area.

The intense blue of the virtually unique crystal-clear water makes the lake a matchless destination where visitors can enjoy a relaxing holiday packed with sport, fun and the pleasure of discovering enchanted hamlets.
